School of Human and Social Sciences

General Information - FAQs

1. Will the same content be covered next year as in this semester?

No information can be provided about the content of future semesters as the planning can be done on short notice and the instructors may change. However, since the content is based on the module handbook, there is a certain basic structure that remains consistent. It cannot be determined in advance whether the specific topics or the examination literature will remain the same. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to take the exam in the semester in which you attended the course.

2. Is attendance mandatory in the classes?

According to the PsychThApprO (psychotherapist licensing regulations), there is a mandatory attendance requirement for all students under the new PO 2020 in all courses. The attendance requirement is fulfilled if at least 85% of the classes have been attended, as stated in the PsychThApprO, Appendix 1, Paragraph 1: Foundations of Psychology for Psychotherapists, and in the guideline on dealing with attendance obligations from 16.10.2019 (Amtl. Mittlg. 67/19). The regulations for students under other examination regulations will be discussed in the first session.

3. Is attendance mandatory in the first session?

Please refer to the answer to the question "Is attendance mandatory in the classes?"

4. Can I register for an exam after the registration deadline?

No, the registration deadline communicated by the examination office is binding. Late registration is not possible. Therefore, please refrain from sending emails regarding this matter to the instructors.

5. I want to register for an exam but I am having issues with StudiLöwe. What can I do?

Contact the technical support for StudiLöwe.

Additional information can be found on the website of the Central Examination Office.

Please refrain from sending emails regarding this matter to the instructors.

6. Where and when will I receive the access data for Moodle courses?

In general, unless stated otherwise on StudiLöwe, you will receive the access data in the first session. In case you miss it, please ask your fellow students for the data first. If this is not possible, send an email to the administration office stating the title of the event and the module number, requesting the access data for Moodle. However, please note that it may take some time to receive a response (the email volume is enormous).
