New publication: Digital Detox

Our digital detox study with students didn’t achieve the hoped-for reduction in total smartphone or social media usage. However, our planning intervention did boost self-efficacy – a key resource for self-regulated smartphone use. This highlights the need to put even more focus on strengthening self-efficacy in interventions, ensuring better plan execution and long-term effectiveness.
